About This Project

The Bustamonte residence in Phoenix suffered extensive fire and smoke damage that affected the entire structure — from the roof down through the interior living spaces. The fire originated in the kitchen and spread rapidly through the home before being extinguished by the Phoenix Fire Department. By the time Sevco Restoration was called, the damage was catastrophic: the roof structure was compromised, the interior framing was charred throughout, and smoke had penetrated every surface in the home.

Sevco Restoration was on site within 60 minutes of the initial call. Our team immediately secured the property with emergency board-up and temporary roof tarping to prevent further damage from weather exposure. We then conducted a full Matterport 3D scan of the entire property, creating a comprehensive digital record of every affected area before any demolition began.

The Restoration Process

The restoration of the Bustamonte residence required a complete structural rebuild. Our team worked through the following phases:

Emergency Stabilization: Board-up, roof tarping, and structural shoring to prevent further damage and ensure safety for the restoration team.

Insurance Documentation: Full Matterport 3D documentation and detailed damage assessment provided to the insurance adjuster. Our thorough documentation ensured the homeowners received the full scope of coverage they were entitled to.

Demolition: Removal of all fire-damaged materials including roofing, framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures throughout the home.

Structural Rebuild: Complete reconstruction of the roof structure, interior framing, and all structural elements to current building code standards.

Systems Replacement: New electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and insulation throughout the rebuilt structure.

Finish Work: New drywall, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and paint throughout — returning the home to better-than-original condition.

The Bustamonte family returned to a fully restored home that was completed on schedule and within the insurance timeline.
