Project Overview

The Hower residence in Scottsdale suffered a serious kitchen fire that quickly spread smoke and soot throughout the entire home. While the fire itself was contained to the kitchen area, the smoke and heat damage extended to every room, requiring a comprehensive restoration approach that addressed both the structural fire damage and the pervasive smoke contamination.

Sevco Restoration responded immediately upon receiving the call. Our team secured the property, performed emergency board-up, and began the documentation process using Matterport 3D scanning. The complete digital record of all damage was critical in ensuring the insurance claim captured every affected area — from the charred kitchen structure to the smoke-damaged bedrooms, bathrooms, and attic space.

The kitchen was a total loss — a complete gut and rebuild was performed, installing new cabinetry, quartz countertops, new appliances, and new flooring. Certified smoke and soot removal was performed from every surface in the home, including walls, ceilings, HVAC ducts, attic insulation, and all personal property that could be salvaged. Ozone treatment was used to eliminate smoke odor at the molecular level. The Hower family returned to a home that looked and felt better than it did before the fire.
