About This Project

The Hower residence in Scottsdale suffered a serious kitchen fire that quickly spread smoke and soot throughout the entire home. While the fire itself was contained to the kitchen area, the smoke and heat damage extended to every room, requiring a comprehensive restoration approach that addressed both the structural fire damage and the pervasive smoke contamination.

Our team secured the property, performed emergency board-up, and began the documentation process using Matterport 3D scanning. The complete digital record of all damage was critical in ensuring the insurance claim captured every affected area — from the charred kitchen structure to the smoke-damaged bedrooms, bathrooms, and attic space.

The Restoration Process

Kitchen Rebuild: The kitchen was a total loss. Our team performed a complete gut and rebuild, installing new cabinetry, quartz countertops, new appliances, and new flooring that elevated the kitchen's appearance beyond its original state.

Whole-Home Smoke Remediation: Certified-certified smoke and soot removal from every surface in the home, including walls, ceilings, HVAC ducts, attic insulation, and all personal property that could be salvaged. Ozone treatment was used to eliminate smoke odor at the molecular level.

Interior Restoration: New drywall, paint, flooring, and fixtures throughout all affected rooms. Every room was restored to better-than-original condition with modern finishes and materials.

Structural Repairs: Framing repairs in the kitchen and adjacent areas where the fire had compromised structural integrity, all completed to current building code standards.
